I feel dirty...

Yes I just finished installing Visual Studio 2008 on Snow Leopard so I can do .NET development on a Mac.

I will never be clean.

Snow Leopard + Parallels + XP Pro + Visual Studio 2008

I ran into one little problem getting Snow Leopard, Parallels, Windows XP Pro, and Visual Studio 2008 to play nice together.

Here is the error message I kept getting when trying to import an existing project into VS 2008:

project location is not trusted

Solutions I found:

1. social.microsoft.com
2. msdn.microsoft.com
3. blogs.imeta.co.uk

Notes:

Run this from the Visual Studio 2008 command line tool:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\[some version of .Net Framework]\casp ol.exe -m -ag 1.5 -url file://\\.psf/* FullTrust

Create a dedicated share in Parallels for your VS 2008 project folder.
