Golden Compass
As a movie I really enjoyed the computer generated graphics and especially the epic battle scenes with witches and polar bears. The adaptation from the book though leaves a lot to be desired. Lyra was way too perky, and Pan wasn’t near snarky enough. In two words I would describe the movie as “Watered Down”.

Juno
I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. It would have garnered five stars had they not molested a vintage Alice In Chains T-shirt during one of the scenes. Travesty. I almost cried.

Frontline Documentary - Bush's War
Bush’s War is a solid documentary, nothing terribly new or exciting. Most of the insights have been covered fairly well in the blogosphere, but if you only get your news and information from the TV, there may be some surprises. Watch Bush’s War for free online courtesy of PBS and Frontline.

A Person's A Person No Matter How Small
We (Amy and I) took the kids to see Horton Hears A Who! this weekend. Despite Jim Carrey’s best efforts he was unable to ruin this Dr. Suess classic.
