Errr… the month started off solid, but as you can see I enjoyed Superbowl weekend (Chili Cookoff) and a trip to Quinns Hotsprings (Booze) a bit too much.

Hack Diet 2008 Year End Review
First the chart of my weight over the past 12 months:
Results:
- Total weight loss year over year: 11lbs
- Max weight loss: 25lbs
I started 2008 weighing 203lbs and have finished the year at 192lbs. At first I was a bit disappointed by my results, but considering it has taken me 10 years to gain 41lbs and I lost 26.8% of that in one year I feel ok about my progress.
What happened?
From the chart you can see where and when I stopped tracking and monitoring my weight loss at random periods. That didn’t help. I bet you can also guess where and when I started consuming soda and fries along with other fast food goodness for lunch instead of something sensible. d’Oh!
New Year:
I’m going to attempt another year of getting back down to a healthy weight (162lbs) My target is to lose 30lbs over next year or 2.5lbs per month.

Hack Diet July 11th 2008

Well I’ve figured out how to maintain my current weight of 180 with a margin of error of 3 lbs. Beer season (summer) is not helping, but at least I’m not climbing up the chart like that previous ten years.

This was a tough post. I’ve been busy at work, and haven’t been eating well as of late. A lot of summer beverages combined with several fast-food lunch time meals have derailed my plans a bit.

Ouch! This is one of the hardest updates I’ve had to post. Trending up is not fun. I’m going to refer to the last two weeks of my diet as revenge of the snack foods.
